Fermented Mustard



This mustard was first created on a whim, as a way to use the powerfully probiotic brine left over from batches of kimchi and sauerkraut. Since then, it’s become one of our most beloved items!










After coarsely grinding whole brown and yellow mustard seeds, we add local raw honey, lemon juice, fermented garlic, raw apple cider vinegar, and living brine.

Not only is fermented mustard a great condiment for slathering on a sandwich, but it’s fantastic mixed into marinades, salad dressings, and even potato salad.





Sweet & Sauer products are always living, never heat treated.  Our goal is to strengthen Mississippi’s local food system through fermentation, using the highest quality, sustainably sourced ingredients.
